National Handloom Day is celebrated with the purpose of motivating Indians to wear handwoven clothing produced by our weavers. As students of Fashion Technology at KCG College of Technology, we organise events and workshops to encourage school students to learn about traditional weaving techniques. National Handloom Day gives us the opportunity to recognize and appreciate the weavers.

SEI~GAI a Tamil word meaning “action” or” helping hand”, is a brand inspired by the tireless and selfless service of our COVID Frontline Warriors. It is an initiative of the students of the Fashion Technology Department of KCG College of Technology, Chennai.

Covidesta is a campaign initiated by KCG College of Technology, Chennai to salute the contributions of the frontline warriors like doctors, nurses, policemen, ambulance drivers, sanitation workers, and many more heroes who are fighting against COVID 19. With time all of us will forget their selfless contributions in saving our lives.
